What is ContentYak?

ContentYak is the new gig economy in action. We're a custom white label content company.

We utilize Crowdsourcing and Cloud-tech on our own purpose-built platform to create your custom content.

Copyright is always 100% yours.

This means your content will never show up on another website, in another newsletter or promoting another venture.

Only you can access, brand and distribute the content. Period.

What is white label content?

White label content is a term for content that is custom created by ContentYak Writers and Editors but is purchased, branded and distributed by businesses and others that buy it. When you buy content through ContentYak, you always fully own the copyright.

Is ContentYak confidential?

ContentYak takes your confidentiality very seriously!

Confidentiality is important when it comes to delivering great white label content.

We want you to have a safe, successful experience on our site.

Is it free to place an order on ContentYak?

Yes! ContentYak is free to post and safe to use.

You won't be charged unless you start your project and we complete it as ordered.

How do I place an order?

ContentYak has two order forms; a short one from the home page and a second extended one that helps us understand your project better.

The short order form is found on our home page. If you already have a ContentYak account, you'll automatically start all new orders with the extended form only.

Don't worry! You pay nothing to tell us about your content needs!

While you place an order, we'll create a ContentYak account where you can access our secure online platform.

We'll confirm your account (and any future changes to it) through emails sent to the email address you provide.

Why is there an Editor on my project?

ContentYak deploys a layer of oversight managed by experienced Editors.

Our Editors are assigned to each and every ContentYak project and ensure that all requests for content are fully understood and that the final content provided accurately meets Client needs.

How do I choose the right Writer?

All of our Writers are vetted and awesome! We make sure of that before they can even take a peek at your project details.

Even better, the Editor assigned to your project will suggest the best Writers available and help you through every stage of the process.

How do I send messages or files to my Writer or Editor?

Our ContentYak platform allows users to upload files easily.

Just log in to your ContentYak account and use the file upload and messaging options.

Your Editor will happily walk you through the process if you have a problem of any kind. Just ask!

Can I change my order details?

Yes, usually.

Anytime before the writer gets started, you can simply log in to your ContentYak account and add or subtract details to the project scope.

Keep in mind that a major change in scope can also change the value of service and the expected delivery date. Your Editor will advise you of any changes.

Once the project has started, changes to scope are more difficult.

At this stage, your Editor will work with you directly to make changes to your project.

The Editor will also assess any modifications to cost or timeline and will ensure your acceptance of both before changing the project scope.

When will my order be ready?

Your order will be ready on or before the date you stipulated for the order.

Your Editor will keep the project on time and let you know when your content is ready for your review.

Once you're satisfied with the finished work, your payment is released and the content final files are delivered to you directly.

Can I see a preview of the content before it's completed?

Yes! Transparency is a big part of the ContentYak's Manifesto, so we're happy to walk you through any and all stages of your content project.

Previews can be released by the Writer or Editor.

To ensure the integrity of the transaction, previews are never longer than 100 words.

What if I don't like the content?

Thanks to our Editors and their dedicated layer of project oversight, this doesn't happen very often.

But if it does, your Editor will work with you to provide content that better meets your needs.

Once you've released payment for a project, you cannot seek revision on the content without creating a new order.

How will I receive my content?

Completed content projects can be released as Word documents or as PDFs; your choice.

Other delivery options can be discussed with your Editor. We'll do our best to meet your needs.

How do I pay for my content?

ContentYak uses a secure PayPal wallet fintech system that's built right into our platform. In our Crowdsourced Cloud environment, PayPal is the most secure payment method possible. We use it exclusively to keep Clients and Writers safe and secure in all of their ContentYak transactions.

You must have a PayPal account to secure projects through the ContentYak platform.

Can I get a refund?

Yes but maybe no ...

At ContentYak, you do not pay for your content until you are totally satisfied with the completed work. All funds loaded to your ContentYak Wallet are 100% refundable unless they have already been reserved by you to pay for a specific content project.

Do you check for plagiarism?

Plagiarism is not allowed at ContentYak. Our standards for always creating wholly original, never-before-published content are nonnegotiable with Writers.

All completed, reviewed and finalized work from ContentYak is always checked for plagiarism before release to Clients for payment.

Please note: we cannot be responsible for plagiarism or accuracy on any text or materials provided to us by you. Any materials provided by you are assumed to be vetted before we receive them. This includes but is not limited to text provided to us by you for services like Content Evergreening, Editing and Proofreading.

What do you charge Writers?

ContentYak NEVER charges Writers or Editors to work on any project.

We believe strongly in the power of the Cloud to help freelancers live their best lives. Living well means being paid properly for the work you do.

There are no fees or costs to Writers or Editors to work with ContentYak because it just wouldn't be the right thing to do.

What if I forgot my password?

Just click the 'Forgot password?' link on the account login page. (Home > My Account >Forgot password?)

Can I delete my account?

Yes ... but we will be sorry to see you go!

If you're determined to leave, you'll find the option to deactivate your account when you log in to ContentYak and click 'My Profile' from the main menu.

What is ContentYak?

ContentYak is the new gig economy in action!

ContentYak is a custom white label content creation company that deploys purpose-built technology to help businesses and individuals purchase custom content of any kind.

Our platform is driven by professional Editors who manage every content project from start to finish; from hiring the right experienced freelance Writer to final approval of the project's completed content.

What is white label content?

ContentYak provides Clients with rights-free white label content.

White label content is a generic term for content that is custom created by ContentYak Writers and Editors but is purchased, branded and distributed by businesses and other personalities that buy it.

All content created and paid for through ContentYak is wholly owned by the paying Client. The Writer, the Editor, and ContentYak itself have no rights whatsoever to completed paid content.

Should I work with ContentYak?

We need Writers who NEVER miss deadlines! If you're an awesome experienced Writer who manages time, projects and expectations like a Boss, then YES! You should work with us.

Writers are accepted to the platform and allowed to bid on projects after successful completion of a 4-step application and review process completed by ContentYak Admin and its Editors.

Once part of our platform, Writers can bid on content projects and communicate with Editors who manage Client needs and help match Writers with projects they're passionate about.

What does it cost to work with ContentYak?

Nothing! ContentYak is always free for freelance Writers who join the platform.

We never charge Writers to work with us! There are no fees, dues or account access charges of any kind. It just wouldn't be the right thing to do.

Fees are only ever paid by Clients who receive successfully completed content.

Why is there an Editor on the project?

ContentYak deploys a layer of oversight managed by experienced Editors. These Editors are assigned to each and every ContentYak project and ensure that all creative requests for content are fully understood and that the final content provided accurately meets Client needs.

What kind of writing jobs are available?

All kinds! Literally.

ContentYak actively seeks new Clients and their content projects to be managed on our purpose-built platform. We focus heavily on creating content that will help start-ups and small- to medium-sized businesses across many different industries and covering many different topics.

Writers working with ContentYak can expect the opportunity to write content including but not limited to: articles, blog posts, eBooks, white papers, profiles, presentations, case studies, business plans, product descriptions, video scripts, letters, newsletters, marketing plans, press releases, communications, brochures, op-eds, social posts, podcasts, speeches, pitches, webinars, how-to's, reports, surveys, statements, executive summaries, advertising copy, research, rewriting, proposals, tip sheets ... you name it!

Do I need writing experience?

Yes! Absolutely.

ContentYak promises Clients that our Writers are vetted, experienced and totally up for any job they bid on. We work hard to ensure we meet our promises to Clients and to Writers.

But don't be shy! Fresh new Writers and salty old Scribes are all welcome. Just successfully complete our 4-step application process and we'll get to know you better, then give you an honest answer about your level of ability and your chances for success working on content projects at ContentYak.

Are freelance Writers employees of ContentYak?

No. Freelance Writers are exactly that, freelance. They are in no way considered employees or agents of ContentYak.

Freelance Writers work entirely for themselves and are responsible for any and all expenses, taxes, fees, dues or any other financial considerations usually or unusually related to obtaining and completing their accepted freelance projects.

How do I get paid?

It's easy! We pay all freelance Writers through a secure PayPal interface. You must have a PayPal account to work with ContentYak.
This ensures enhanced transactional security for both Writers and Clients.

If you've completed a project and the Client has released the funds, just log in to your ContentYak account and click on 'Earnings' to send a Withdrawal of Funds request to ContentYak Admin.

We process all current Requests for Withdrawal on Wednesday of each week.

Do you check for plagiarism?

Plagiarism is not allowed at ContentYak. All completed, reviewed and finalized work from ContentYak is also checked for plagiarism before release to Client for payment.

Our standards for always creating wholly original, never-before-published content are nonnegotiable with Writers.

If you plagiarise, your account at ContentYak will be suspended by Admin. Period.

How do I send messages or files to my Editor or Client?
